I have to say that I loved, loved this book A Destined Death by Lisa Rayns. Elizabeth has a path that she has set for her life. She has set goals in regards to school and her future career as a writer. This is until she meets this mysterious man at her birthday party. After meeting him funny things start to happen to her when she makes a wish even if she is just thinking it. After this she starts to questions things that had happened to her while she was growing up was he involved somehow? Draven gives her bits and pieces about himself and what her role is in his life. Should she trust her instinct or just have faith in him? Is Draven her soulmate have they known each other in past lives. He is afraid he will lose her if he can't convert her to a immortal. He doesn't want to go on anymore if he loses her this lifetime. Through time and space things may work out for them, but they need to be able to rely on each others strengths and weaknesses. Many people want to get involved to stop this destiny for many different reasons but are the sincere? You must run out and get this book to follow this journey because it is a page turner that you can't put down. Definitely a 5 star plus book and I want more...... I received this book to give an honest review.

I am giving this book a solid 4 stars. Even though this was a very interesting story and read. The beginning of the book up until half way through I was just really bored. You have this girl named Elizabeth who is normal until some stranger comes to her party! She never gets a name and only called him Mr. Interested. That is until two years later and he finally tells her. I did enjoy that she was writing a novel or at least trying too. I also liked how the author put the whole reincarnation into the book, I do not think I have read a book yet that had that written into the story so that was pretty cool.

The scene in Paris I thought was picking up pretty good and, I started really getting into it at that point.

Now what bothered me a bit was the fact that she kept thinking he was a ghost! I mean really? Your cousin saw him, he really can not be out in the sunlight. Umm Hello! That just screams he is not a ghost but another supernatural being.

Also her cousin Tina, just simply was cool with everything towards the middle end, it was like really? Okay it kind of threw me off a bit.

And the finally thing was when Candy kept using the word "Milady". I understood why it was being used and what not, but after the fifth time of reading the word I just kind of got tired of it and just would skip over whenever Candy would say it.

This author does have a really good talent with writing, and I do want to read more by her.

Love that can span beyond all time and death. That is the underlying theme of this story. Elizabeth is a normal girl with big dreams. She intends to one day be a New York Times Best Selling Author (me too!). She has had this dream for so long that she took extra courses and summer college courses so that she could finish her college degree by the age of 20. Her plans are perfect with one problem. On her 18th birthday, she meets a man that she is instantly attracted to beyond anything she has ever felt for any other man. Draven gives Elizabeth a super expensive ruby and diamond necklace right then, but never tells her his name. Instead, he starts showing up to meet up with her during lunch breaks, never revealing information about himself, yet trying to convince her to change her priorities.

You may be wondering what happened? Well I hope you are. She finishes school, moves out, and begins her debut novel. Draven starts to open up, but then tells her that he has been stalking her and wants to kill her. Say what!?! She freaks out and runs away. She knows that she is destined to die young, so she starts to really live. Her many close encounters with death lead her back into Draven's arms. She has learned over time that her soul has been reborn several times. Draven has been a part of every life and intends to be apart of this life as well. However, if she dies again (not by his hands), he intends to die himself because his love is so strong that he can't live without her.

It's a wonderful story that will make you question whether you have found or ever will find your soul mate. Will that person be so selfless to let you live your life as you want it, but never be too far away? How much pain are they willing to go through to be with you? Would they die for you? I very much enjoyed the thoughts this story provoked.

I love how Elizabeth is drawn to Draven even though she doesn't understand it. I really enjoyed the building of their relationship. Draven is so in love with her that he would do anything for her, even if it hurt him and in the end vice versa.
The only thing that stopped me from giving it a 5 star review was Tina (weird, right?). I disliked her in the beginning of the story because she was very rude and cold to Elizabeth. I just didn't feel that her character changing made me believe it as much as I would have liked. I did like her in the end though.

I liked the secondary characters as well and would like to read more about Ben, perhaps. )
