Are you ready to EXPERIENCE this book? This is not one you just read, it is so much more!!! You become a part of it.

I couldn't wait to read more of Esmore and her story when I finished the first book Token Huntress. And I would of never thought her journey could get anymore intense and mind blowing, but it does.

When Esmore flees the human colony with Dillon and Julia to Caesar's coven. There she gets to know her new family. But can she understand what or who she really is.

Chase, her familiar, is who stands by her as they try and figure out how to get Julia and Dillon to a safer place, even if it means having to go back to the human colony.

And what will Esmore do when she finds out about the truth surrounding Whitney's death.

There is so much in this story I could probably write pages about it but I won't. I know I would give all the surprises away. Wait till you meet Sydney ,hehe. Oh and if you get into it like I did, well you will be talking back at the book.

Loved this and can not wait for more!!! PNR at it's best.

Good book but at times i was beyond irritated with the ignorant stubborn MC. It's worth reading and i look forward to the third book. Hopefully she'll have come to her senses and not act so foolhardy and arrogant. She went around b*tching about how egotistical humans are when she was beyond egoistic and delusional about ignoring the circumstance of her new life instead of accepting it.
I recommend to anyone interested in Vampires and their Hunters. Thank goodness I found out about the HUNTERS GUILD... It makes for a very exciting and enjoyable read. Bravo to the AUTHOR.
Riveting!! Could not put it down for the life of me. It kept me entertained from start to finish. It is definitely worth reading. I enjoyed all the characters and how she in-visions the darkness inside oneself to the lightness that can be there as well.
The story is spellbinding. So much so that the plethora of idiom, grammar, and metaphor mistakes were not enough for me to put it down. I do recommend that Kia get a better proofreader and editor.
I will continue to the next book because I can't wait to find out what happens next.
I wish desperately that I could give this wonderful book a five (5), but the consistent & constant spelling & grammar errors simply will not allow me to do so. The characters are vibrant and engaging. The storyline follows a twisting path through one surprise right into another - it's like a roller coaster that you just can't get off of because you're having too much fun and can't wait for the next plunge!
I am absolutely loving this series. It was wonderfully written. I love this Dystopian world she has created, such imagination. She really makes her words come alive and jump off the page. I love reading about Esmore and how she struggles to accept what she feels is her dark side, her vampirism. She starts to realize that it is a part of who she is. Through it all Chase is her rock and has to go through his own struggles. He is constantly accepting of who she is and who she is becoming. They both have strong personalities that challenge each other when needed and accept the fact that sometimes they just have to let each other be. She is a wonderful author with many more creative world's to share.
I was so caught up in this story & in the battles that are in this story that when I read the last page that I didn't realize that it was the last page in this book. So, I will be definitely getting the next book in this series. Everything that I read I could imagine in my mind like I was watching a movie; there (to me at least) is so much action in this story that it just carries you away. Esmore has a family; a father who is a vampire & her mother who is a Huntress. Esmore is their only biological child the rest of Esmore's family is 4 brothers that were made by her father. In this story Esmore is trying to keep her Huntress side in the front & out in the open & her vampire side buried inside & as she struggles with this there are many other forms of evil/bad things happening around her. If you want to find out more about those struggles then you will have to read this story; but if you haven't read the 1st story/book then you will be a little confused about what is going on. I read this book in 1 day in between doing other stuff; that's how excellent this book was!
